A global transition of belief

We are still a primitive society although not as primitive as our ancestors. We live in a universe which is estimated to be approximately 14 billion years old, and our planet earth is approximately only 4.55 billion years old suggest over 97% of earth and life scientists around the globe. There is no doubt that other planets exist in our universe with intelligent life. Harvard physicist and SETI leader Paul Horowitz boldly stated in a 1996 interview with TIME Magazine, "Intelligent life in the universe? Guaranteed. Intelligent life in our galaxy? So overwhelmingly likely that I'd give you almost any odds you'd like." It is said that there are more planets in the universe than there are grains of sand on earth (on shore and underwater). When you take the high probability of life elsewhere in the universe you must take into account that intelligent life similar to ours must exist as well and if they depend on the gravitational pull, heat, and light of a star or stars like we do then they probably have believed in higher beings such as Gods even though they might or might not have called them that.

The idea of God originated on earth from the single sun we revolve around, the ancient egyptians called the sun Osiris (Sun God) and would make up stories which evolved over the years to create the different religions, ideologies, and gods which have existed and still exist.  

                                       (There have most likely been other societies in other planets who believed in different Gods)

(This is just a piece of our solar system, and the picture above represents the size of the sun compared to the other planets on a smaller scale. Can you imagine the rest of the universe?) 

Other extraterrestrial intelligent societies which are much older than us probably by thousands, millions, and even billions of years most likely went through a God phase like we have been going through since the beginning of Mesopotamia. When these other societies began to form and began to question the universe they probably made up higher beings like we did to explain the creation of everything (the god phase), but as they evolved physically, intellectually, and scientifically over the millenias they let go of their beliefs in fantasy, fairy tales, gods and ushered in a new age of intellectual prosperity, peace, and knowledge. 

Think of the planet earth as a single person isolated from all of the other people because it is too far away. Now we all know that if we were to leave an actual person alone for too long they would go insane by medical standards, even grow delusional due to lack knowledge and confusion. The same thing has happened to earth and the people on it, we are isolated from other intelligent societies because we are too far away and due to our lack of knowledge and confusion we have grown delusional with the belief in God to try to explain everything around us. The problem is that the belief in God makes people believe that everything revolves around us the human race, when it does not. We are not alone in the universe! There are probably confederations of planets with intelligent life who are near each other and travel to each other constantly and work together for the prosperity of all their creatures.

 

Let us not forget that we are extraterrestrial life to them as well.

Bender: "I'll make you cry, buddy. *ahem* You're a pimple on society's ass and you'll never amount to anything!"

Fry: "Whaddaya mean? I was emperor of a whole planet."

Bender: "Good point....but here's a disturbing reminder. Everyone you knew or loved in the 20th century is dead!"

Fry: "These things happen."

Bender: "Grr...ok, Fry. Grab a kleenex for this one...cause there's no God and your idiotic human ideals are laughable! Hahahaha!"

Fry: "Phew! That's a load off my mind."

 

 

We are nearing the end of our god phase and this is cause for celebration! The Non-Belief VS. God debate is the most controversial and historic debate in world history. We need to remove the barrier that is religion from our society in order to make the world a better place for the next generations. Other intelligent societies have rid themselves of god and now we must do the same.
