Since When is the Extinction of the Human Race Impossible?

The world will come to an end, but that does not mean it is some religious apocalypse.

The world will come to an end and the clock is ticking, whether it be the highly anticipated December 21, 2012 or any day before or billions of years after it. The extinction of the human race could happen just like it did with the ancient dinosaurs who ruled the earth by cosmic collissions. We are just another rock in the universe who is to say an asteroid as almost as large or larger than earth is heading our way and the moon cannot take the hit this time. The end of humanity could come about due to a series of natural disasters caused my a misalignment in the earths axis someday, or our ignorance will lead mankind to destroy itself seeing as how we live in a world with wealthy mentally unstable people who want to nuke most of the earths population for not believing in their system of ideas.

Just because the world can come to an end someday does not mean it is some type of religious apocalypse or revelations being fulfilled. The creators of the bible, the qur'an and any other religious text which has end of times writings must have known that the end of the world is a possibility and used that to their advantage. Revelations from the bible seems to grab the attention of anyone who considers themselves christian or catholic. The end of the world is an idea which has captured the imaginations of every generation since the dawn of religious text. Every generation deep down inside thinks they are the last one to exist on earth, from the ancient romans who saw the end of their empire as revelation from the bible fulfilled to our current generation who believes we are in end times. The cycle continues on and on, just place yourself in the shoes of someone who lived 250 years ago and read the same religious text you are reading today, they thought they were near the end also.

We don't know how much time we have left here on earth, nor do we know how much time the human race has left, but we will guaranteed have an end, so it is up to us to promote world peace and to create a brighter future for the next generations for the time we have left.
